Microsoft’s Paul Mestemaker has announced that the January 2008 version of the SQL Server 2005 Best Practices Analyzer is available here. He also wrote that his team is working on incorporating the BPA functionality into the core product in SQL Server 2008.
In the meantime, the stand-alone BPA is a great tool for scanning the configuration of SQL Server instance.
