Microsoft’s Paul Randal has a useful post that describes some alternatives for dealing with and hopefully preventing corrupt SQL Server 2005 databases. He includes a sample database that he intentionally broke that you can use to play with. Very good work!
BTW, I am one of the people that owes Paul a completed VLDB maintenance survey! I promise I will get it in soon.
