Amount of RAM For Procedure Cache Should be Configurable

Adam Machanic has a good suggestion up on Connect. Basically, he is asking for a configuration option that would let you set the maximum size of the procedure cache in SQL Server 2005 (and beyond). This is mainly a problem when you have applications that submit lots of ad-hoc queries that cause the procedure cache to bloat up in size. This situation was greatly improved with SP2 for SQL Server 2005, but it still causes problems for people.
