Intel Ships 32GB Enterprise-Class Solid State Drives

Intel is now shipping the 32GB version of the X-25E single-level cell (SLC) solid state drives (SSD) for $695 each. The 64 GB version is supposed to ship in the first quarter of 2009. I have seen benchmarks on the mainstream X-25M MLC SSD from Intel, and they were very impressive.  These drives should be very useful for both TempDB and transaction log files in SQL Server.
